Better than bejeweled

The patterns in Vertrix are more complex than you normally see in a Match-3 game like Bejeweled or Candy Crush Saga.  Furthermore you can play locally or over the network against a friend.  As you gain levels in a stage you have access to more powers that can change your game or affect your opponents game.  There are a wide range of spells to choose from and each character has its own particular feel and personality for balance.

In the single player game you must beat 10 champions to win the game.



The themes are beautiful, no background is too noisy.  My family also likes the soundtrack of the game which is also available for download.

This is a follow up to our first post on Krita Brushes Galore My test run of Krita focused on a still life to get a feel for the different brushes.  Most of my work uses the Charcoal brush and a heavy use of the blending brushes to get the shading just right. One of my favorite features is the list of colors that are already in your image to the right of the color selector, this makes it easy to keep yourself confined to a given set of colors. I accidentally turned on the Wrap mode that allows your brushes to wrap from one edit to another similar to the way the ship moves in Asteroids. Turning any brush into an eraser is a handy trick but after a while I kept reaching for the undo button from the menus. Final Result Animation Without reading any documentation I jumped right into the animation section of Krita and through sheer trial and error I managed to whip up something quick.
